  • Parking is on site and is free and there is ample room for several cars at the back of the property.

  • Upon arrival, we will be there to give you keys to your accommodation and answer any questions you may have. Come and go as you please.

  • We have provided you with a wifi dongle and access to the internet free of charge. Search for XXXXXX and enter the password XXXXXXX

  • I have three very friendly dogs. Suki (Shitzu) is the oldest and is extremely gentle and mostly blind and deaf. Mabel (Daschund) is the cutest and loves attention. Marley is the youngest and is very curious and loves to run. You will find them mostly sun bathing in the garden and sometimes swimming in the river.

    If you are worried about the dogs or have an allergy, please let us know.

  • Smoking is not allowed at the house but you can smoke outdoors only. Feel free to ask for an ashtray.

    Children and young adults are welcome. Please remember we are near a fast flowing river so we ask that parents keep an eye on their little ones at all times.

    Feel free to play music however be respectful of our neighbours and turn the sound down at 10:30pm.

  • You can use the washing machine and clothes line in the rear garden. Laundry detergent is in the cupboard under the kitchen sink.

  • There is a recycle bin, the yellow one. It is clearly labelled with what can be recycled. There is also a grey bin for general waste. Both can be found at the rear of the house. There are bins provided in the kitchen too.

    Small grocery store, river walks, and restaurants within 5 mins walk from the house.

    There is a cave 5 minutes walk where you can arrange to have a wine tasting experience, this is perfect if you wish to learn a bit more about locals wines.

    A short drive

    Located in the heart of Bordeaux’s vineyards, Saint Emillion is a 20 min drive, and is also a UNESCO World heritage site. Monbazillac and Duras are also easily accessible too and well worth a visit.

    If you want to visit a market, then there is one most days in a nearby town. Saturdays at St Foy is large and has a mix of fresh food, clothes and other stalls too.

    1hr drive or 45min train to Bordeaux.

    Golf du Chateau des Vigiers less than 25mins.

    Equestrian centre 8km.

  • We are lucky to have a fine dining restaurant, L’ardoise, within 5 mins walk from the house, which is classic french food and very delicious.

    There is restaurant Palma Nova on the opposite bank, with a terrace overlooking the Dordogne with lots of reasonably priced menu options.

    Another option is to book La Pessaquai on the opposite bank overlooking the river. To book call 0557474104.

    A short 15min drive will take you to St Foy le Grande with lots of restaurants to choose from with great views of the river.
